A good, well and balanced diet is ideal and this is what it looks like.

So, it should manifest as 70% high-quality dog foods, with 15% serving of healthful vegetables and 15% serving of refreshing and tasteful fruits.

The Process of Feeding Them: Do’s and Don’ts

  • Do feed your corgis for anywhere from ⅓ to ¾ of a cup, twice a day. There are no exact measurements really, but vets do consider this as a standard guide.
  • Do provide them water for hydration and place them all over the house so that it will be accessible to them at all times they want.
  • Do portion their treats throughout the day. Corgis are fond of foods and treats. To avoid them overeating or abusing it, set a limit to just five treats per day and use them wisely, as rewards or as motivators for good behavior.
  • Do not underfeed or overfeed them. You cannot restrict their foods as foods are their fuel to get their day going and it plays a crucial part for their health and well-being. Also, overfeeding them will lead to obesity, which can lead to a series of serious medical conditions. Instead be mindful and be responsible when you are feeding them.
  • Do not forget to sanitize their feeding equipment, their feeding bowls and water bowls. Clean them to ensure safety, as neglecting it can upset their stomach, and can be a gateway to alarming diseases. Do not abandon their feeding needs; do not abandon this beginner feeding guide.
